Recently on RTP Business Live, we interviewed John-Paul Schick, partner in the law firm of Ortiz & Schic. John-Paul explains what he means when he says his firm has “big firm expertise without the big firm”. In what may be a surprise to many, John-Paul says that a lawsuit is his last resort because it is expensive, slow and stressful. He reveals the many other options available before that final step. In fact, the situation can often be avoided altogether with a good contract or agreement up front. Having grown up in Venezuela, John-Paul is fluent in Spanish.
